My shoespiration was nothing less sparkly than the original Cinderella Shoe by Jimmy Choo. Since this Cinderella is on a budget, we found the next best thing-which turned into the perfect pair for me. After searching online far and wide from eBay to Revolve, Amazon to every shoe store possible, as the wedding approached, these shoes danced into my newsfeed (thanks, targeted ads!). Discovering the sparkly heel, elegant style, dash of purple – my fave color – and that they were available in my size, were true signs they were meant to be. Keep reading to see the shoes waiting to accompany us down the aisle.

We are feeling the romantically intoxicating vibes from these photos already. Getting ready was about as dreamy as it looks, and such a blur. In the photos above, my sister and matron of honor is helping me slide into my glass slippers, and my other bridesmaids and mom are helping me stay balanced.
Speaking of that, they say balance is everything. The challenges of shopping and planning during a pandemic, including wondering if we could get married at all, added a little bit (unmeasurable amounts) of stress. For example, I did not anticipate for the extra delays in shipping, longer than normal shopping time since I opted for online, and at times wondering if I was uninspired. To take charge, I gave myself a shoe backup plan (a must for every fashionista!). This pair was a similar style heel that I wore to the rehearsal dinner, and have even worn to another special event. My backup to the backup would have been these playful flat Kate Spade Keds, which I debated as the second shoe of the evening. I ultimately decided to stick with one, so it could be the star of the show.
