Spring has given us that kick in our strut, er step, that we have so desperately been craving. extra sunlight, new adventures and oh, we have exciting news for you!

Fashion Stoppe is hosting our first annual Fashion Show + Talent Showcase!  Get ready for an unforgettable evening of fashion, mix and mingling, a  display of creative talent, and a chance to meet some fab people. 

This event will take place at Burning Coal Theatre, a gem in downtown Raleigh, on August 31, 2019. SAVE THE DATE!

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Layers of Dignity, a nonprofit that supports the victims of sexual assault.

More about the event and why:

After experiencing both sides of the camera, Fashion Stoppe started to dream of taking this platform to the next level. After losing a close friend in 2016 to an accidental overdose, the staff at Fashion Stoppe felt a newfound purpose to help raise awareness and break the stigma around mental health.  

While there is a lot that needs to be done to change the perceptions of mental health, victims of trauma, and individuals battling addiction, this unprecedented fashion event is one step in the right direction.  In addition to providing a platform for artists, this event will raise awareness for the affected community and support them and their families. There is no shame in addiction, trauma or mental health struggles.  

The first annual fashion show in 2019 will continue the forward fashion movement in Raleigh, connect local and global talent, and raise awareness for those affected by addiction and assault. In addition to promoting a culture of creative growth and innovation, the vision of this event is to provide inspiration and hope through a community collaboration, and change the course of future generations to come. It will also foster a spirit of support, offer a judgement-free space, and inspire positive change based on a foundation of acceptance and love.
